It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Julie Durham Roberts, who left us on Thursday, October 29th, 2026. Julie, the youngest daughter of Stan and Mary Durham, was born in Newark on December 22, 1970. She graduated from North Rose-Wolcott High School in 1989 and attended Herkimer College. Julie was a proud stay-at-home mom for many years before returning to work as a teacher's aide at Red Creek Central School.

Julie was the devoted mother of Tess and Sophie, both of whom were her greatest joys. She taught her girls how to be strong, courageous women and was their biggest supporter in all that they did. She attended all of Tess's art shows and never missed any of Sophie's soccer games. Outside of being a mom, Julie also enjoyed running, practicing yoga, and spending time with her friends and family.

Julie was loved by her family for her resilience, strength, and ability to love intensely. Julie is survived by her beloved daughters, Tess and Sophie Roberts; her mother, Mary Durham; and her siblings: Rob (Kari) Durham, Carol (Phil) Torrey, Steve Durham, and Gregg Durham. Julie is also survived by her mother-in-law, Sharon Roberts; her sister-in-law, Nicole Grevell; her husband, Roger Roberts; and many nieces and nephews. Julie joins her father, Stan, who predeceased her earlier in September.

Our memories of Jules' humor, witty remarks, and contagious laughter will bring us comfort in the days ahead.

The family is planning a celebration of life for a later date and has set up a GoFundMe to help support her girls with funeral costs.
