Lori Mitchell, 62, of Sodus, New York, passed away peacefully October 22, 2026. She was born on October 10, 1964, to the late John and Mary Bowman. 

As we remember the life of our loved one, we acknowledge that every life is a journey known fully by God. Though our relationship had its challenges, she will always hold a place in our family’s story.

She was a nurse by profession, a wife who experienced the loss of her husband, and someone who had a special love for cats. She also had a love for children, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with them, showing them affection, and treating them by spending money on the things that brought them happiness. These were special ways she expressed her love for her family.

As we say goodbye, we are reminded that our time on Earth is temporary, but God’s love and mercy endure forever. We pray that the lord will comfort all those who mourn her passing and give them strength and peace during this difficult time.

Through we may not understand every part of another’s journey, we can leave the things we do not understand in God’s hands. May we find comfort in knowing that God sees every life, knows every heart, and holds us in his hands through every season.

Lori is survived by her sisters Lynn Young and Katina Simmons; many nieces and nephews, as well as grand-nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sister beloved husband John Bowman; her brother Clifford Bowman; her sister Linda Mitchell; her niece Melissa Mitchell and her cousin Anthony Adams.

A burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
